Grape varieties
40% Carignan - 40% Grenache - 20% Cinsault
Old vines of 45 years for the Grenache and Carignan, younger vines of Cinsault.
2020 was an earlier and more generous vintage, the wines are very ripe and the Cinsault brings lightness to the blend.
Terroirs
Clay and limestone sands, stony and deep, allowing good rooting and resistance to drought.
Very hot region in summer and can be dry from the end of spring.
Winemaking
Harvests and fermentations are kept separated for the 3 grapes varieties. Grapes are destemmed, vinification are made in stainless steel for 3 weeks. Soft extraction with pumping over. Only native yeasts and no sulfites used during the winemaking.
Tasting notes
On the nose there are cherry, liquorice and plum notes; on the palate it is full-bodied, ample, with fine tannins well integrated, it is a long wine, both generous and fruity. It is recommended to open the wine 1 hour before serving if possible
