It was at the end of the 19th century that the Warenghem family, originally from northern France, chose to settle on the banks of the Leguer, a coastal river flowing through Lannion, to establish their distillery. Initially specializing in the production of liqueurs, they quickly built a reputation for quality in the world of spirits, particularly whiskies, by perpetuating Breton tradition and expertise. Their renown soon spread beyond the borders of Brittany.
The Warenghem Distillery is the creator of the first Breton whisky, WB, and the first Breton single malt, Armorik. Our constant thirst for innovation allows us to offer you a range of spirits with a distinct character, reflecting the spirit of the people of this region steeped in Celtic tradition:
- Armorik Whisky
- Melmor Chouchen (Breton mead)
- Diwall Beer
- Fine & Pommeau de Bretagne (Breton brandy and apple brandy)
- Liqueurs & Spirits
The Distillery team now comprises 15 employees entirely dedicated to crafting high-quality Breton spirits. When you're ever in our beautiful region, come and see us. We'd be delighted to share our passion for our craft with you.
