Machine Vision for Safety at Sea

SEA.AI alerts crews early and reliably about objects on the water's surface. Using the latest camera technology combined with artificial intelligence, SEA.AI detects and classifies objects, including those that escape conventional systems such as radar or AIS: unreported craft, floating obstacles, buoys, inflatable structures, kayaks, and people on board.

A pioneer in maritime artificial vision since 2018, SEA.AI has developed technology that sees what the human eye, radar, and AIS cannot detect. Our mission is clear: to make navigation safer and smarter.

Thanks to advanced AI, our systems provide continuous vigilance for all types of vessels, from sailboats and motor yachts to superyachts, commercial ships, government fleets, and USVs. With over 1,200 systems in operation worldwide and teams in multiple regions, SEA.AI continues to lead the evolution of maritime safety, helping to prevent collisions, protect crews, and save lives at sea.

How it works

SEA.AI processes data from onboard low-light and thermal cameras to create a digital map of the ship's environment. High-performance cameras continuously record the sea in all directions. The AI processes the images in real time, detects floating hazards, debris, life rafts, buoys, vessels without AIS, or people overboard, and alerts the crew—elements that traditional systems might miss.

Our difference

The system relies on the latest computer vision technologies, cutting-edge deep learning capabilities, and a constantly expanding proprietary database containing millions of annotated marine objects.
