Renowned designer Laurent Borgna, known for his biomimetic whale-inspired foil, joined AFS in 2023 to craft foils for wave riding. Chipri Courde, a celebrated surfer from Tahiti famous for his foil sessions, also joined. Their collaboration with AFS resulted in the SILK, a foil designed for balance, maneuverability, and control. The SILK excels in glide and power, accommodating various riding styles.
AFS SILK offers a superb wave riding experience, with fluid transitions between turns and stability in turbulent waters thanks to foil tubercles and winglets. Tailored stabilizers ensure pitch stability, maneuverability, and high-speed control for each SILK foil size.
SILK boasts a monobloc structure for rigidity, UHM carbon construction for durability, and a specialized UHM mast for ideal glide and maneuverability. Its super rigid mast-to-fuselage connection ensures smooth hydrodynamics and minimal drag.
