Founded in 1948, Copex is a leading supplier of hydraulic shears and balers. Generating 50% of its sales from exports, the company offers an extensive range of innovative machines mainly used in the scrap metal recycling industry, the steelmaking industry, the automotive industry, the nuclear sector, the waste recycling centres, and agricultural businesses involved in the production of plant fibres for animal feed. As a guarantee of quality and robustness, the company has always kept control of its manufacturing processes at its 15,000 m2 industrial site in France, where around one hundred people are working. The company was acquired by the Belgian Lefort Group in 2023. With this transaction between two major recycling equipment manufacturers, the combined Group will have 300 employees and a turnover of €110+m.
